Charlotte Jodean “Jody” King

Charlotte Jodean “Jody” King, 82, of Springfield, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on Wednesday, May 11, 2022. She was born September 30, 1939, in Kincaid, the daughter of Lambert and Helen (Williams) Boulanger.

She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Mary Colleen; and two brothers, Robert and Vernon Boulanger.

Survivors include three daughters, Helen and Peggy King, both of Springfield and Donna Gladfelter of Stanley, VA; son, Jay King of Petersburg; 14 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Carol Gibson; brother, Marvin Boulanger; and several nieces and nephews.

Jody enjoyed arranging flowers and loved to watch the birds and animals outside. She worked at Taylorville Hospital as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Graveside Service: 11 am, Monday, May 16, 2022 at Edinburg Cemetery.
