Charles Leroy “Pete” Gordon

Charles Leroy “Pete” Gordon, 82, of Hendersonville, NC, went Home on the morning of Monday, May 23, 2022, while surrounded by his loving family at the Elizabeth House of Flat Rock, North Carolina.

A lifelong native of Henderson County, Pete was born to the late Lewis O’dell Gordon and Carrie Belle; he is also reunited in Heaven with his beloved wife of thirty-four years Allie Gordon, children Michael Gordon and Rosie Edmonds, brothers James, Claude, Wesley and Carol Gordon and a sister Thelma Stavely.

Pete volunteered in the US Army to serve our grateful Nation. Pete enjoyed spending time outdoors; whether it be fishing, hunting, or just sitting outside and listening to all the beautiful sounds nature provides. He was of the Baptist faith. Pete found joy in spending time with his family; he will be dearly missed.

Left to cherish Pete’s memory are his daughters Patricia Kitchen (Micah) of Balsam Grove, Sheila Gibbs (Baron), Deborah Humphries (Martin) both of Hendersonville and Syondra Howard (Dana) of Detroit, Michigan; sons Bobby Fisher (Sharon) and Roy Fisher also both of Hendersonville; seventeen grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren. Pete leaves behind brothers Robert Gordon (Brenda) of Hendersonville, Steve Gordon (Martha) of Greensboro and Fred Gordon (Patsy) of Virginia; as well several nieces and nephews.
