Charles Edward Loftin

Charles Edward Loftin, 75, passed away on Sunday; July 10,2022 in Tolar. He was born November 10,1946 in Stephenville, Texas to Marshall and Mary Gray Loftin.

 

Charles was a decorated United States Army veteran of the Vietnam War. After the military Charles worked for Sun Oil Company for approximately 5 years then for Vantage Co. for 15 years. He then ranched for the rest of his life with his wife Elaine.

 

He was a Christian and he loved the Lord. Charles dearly enjoyed cattle ranching and growing roses which we enjoyed for many years.

 

One of his great joys was watching his sons play football in grade school through high school, seldom missing a game. He also enjoyed family vacations including snow skiing, the beach, the mountains, and lakes. He also enjoyed horse racing and going to the casinos.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents Marshall and Mary Gray Loftin, and by a brother Robert Loftin.

 

Charles is survived by his loving wife of (56) years, Elaine Loftin who was his high school sweetheart. Son, Kevin Loftin and wife Angela of Fort Worth; son, Scott Loftin and wife Sherie of Flower Mound; brother, James Loftin and wife Joy of Granbury; sister-in-law, Dorothy Loftin of Granbury; brother-in-law, John Carroll Lane of Canyon, TX.; sister-in-law, Patsy Parker of Granbury, sister-in-law, Linda Lane of Granbury, sister-in-law, Wanda Carter and husband Randy of Weatherford; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family members.

 

The family will receive friends during the visitation hours of 6:00pm.-8:00pm. on Thursday; July 14,2022 at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury.
