Celebration of Life for Carson High student Rafe Harvey is Saturday
- April 11, 2024
To honor Rafe Harvey, the family is inviting friends, students, teachers and community members to attend a Celebration of Life Saturday, April 13 at 1 p.m. at Life Church Carson City, 1600 Snyder Ave., in Carson City.
To help manage seating, the family kindly requests an optional RSVP at rsvp@a-typical.com. However, RSVP is not required to attend.
As noted when this tragedy happened, the school district and Carson High continue to offer 24-hour support services 7-days per week, year-round for students, staff and community members affected by depression, anxiety, stress and more. Mental health care coordination services are available through Care Solace from the district’s homepage.
It has been widely reported that nationally, we are seeing more frequent and significant mental health concerns among youth in this country, and Carson City is no exception.
The district asks parents to take the time to speak with your student about the importance of mental health. If you feel your student needs help, please encourage them to reach out to their school counselor or a school social worker, or you can initiate the process for them by reaching out to any of the resources listed below.

— Text Suicide and Crisis Lifeline: call or text 988. See the website here. The 988 Lifeline provides 24/7, free and confidential support for people in distress, prevention and crisis resources for you or your loved ones, and best practices for professionals in the United States.
