Carter J. Hoss, age 78 of Schaumburg, passed peacefully at home surrounded by family after complications from Parkinson’s Disease. Beloved husband to Diane Hoss for 50 wonderful years. Devoted father to Dorinne and Susan Hoss. Loving uncle to Kathy (Wally Nowak) Hoss, Kim (Patrick) McGough, Kevin (Meredith) Hardt, and the late Joanne (Gregory) Herron. Great uncle to Gregory, Gabriel, Caroline, Riley, Charlotte, Colin and Cecilia. Dear brother-in-law to Lucy Hoss, and Barbara (Donald) Hardt. Preceded in death by his brother Ron Hoss. Carter was a 1961 graduate from Lane Tech High School. He was an employee for Motorola for over 35 years, retiring in 2006. He and Diane are long time residents of Schaumburg and Algonquin. A visitation will be held Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Hwy. Palatine IL from 3:00-8:00pm. A funeral service will be held Thursday, February 3, at the funeral home at 11:00am. Interment private.
