Carolyn Osteen King, 83, a lifelong resident of Henderson County, NC, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 17, 2022.
Carolyn was born on August 30, 1938. She was the daughter of the late John and Eula Mae Osteen. She attended Flat Rock High School. Carolyn is preceded in death by her husband Blaine King, their daughter Michelle Brunelle, her brother Blaine Osteen, and her brother JB Osteen.
Carolyn is survived by her children Ricky King, Steve King (Gail), Shawn Corhn (Glenn), David King (Janet), her grandchildren Shannon King, Allyson Warren (Casey), Taren Walker (Mike), Brandon King (Becca), Josh King, Daniel Corhn (Malorie), Jordan Brunelle (Jessie), Molly Hill (Hunter), Seth King (Reagan), great-grandchildren, Ryker and Mia Walker, Harper Warren, Archer Hill, Tucker and Zeke Brunelle, Layla Warren, Mackynley King, Kolt Hill, Emma Corhn, sisters Sherby Merchant, Linda Bryson, sisters-in-laws Helen Stephens (Steve), Millie King, Wilma King, Beulah Dildine, Teresa Osteen, and many nieces and nephews.
Carolyn was manager and co-owner of the family car lot, Blaine King Auto Sales.
Carolyn, better known as Mamaw to all her grandbabies and great-grandbabies, loved her family more than anything. She was the definition of a matriarch and truly the pillar of strength, love, and unity for her entire family. She is now rejoined with her beloved husband of 65 years, in Heaven.
The visitation will be at 1:00 with a funeral to follow at 2:00 at Forest Lawn Chapel on Tracey Grove Road, Sunday, May 22, 2022. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Carolyn’s memory to the American Cancer Society at PO Box 42040, Oklahoma City, OK 7312-33000, in honor of her late daughter, Michelle Brunelle.
