Carolyn (Lebold) Butler, 89, of Zoarville, passed away Thursday, October 13, 2022 in Aultman Hospital at Canton.
A daughter of the late Clinton and Helen (Reidenbach) Lebold, Carolyn was born June 17, 1933 at Zoarville.
Carolyn was a graduate of East Sparta High School and Kent State University with a Bachelor Degree in Medical Technology. She worked for Aultman Hospital. In 1978 she went to work for Tuscarawas Valley School System in their transportation department. She retired in 1998 and began volunteering at the Hospice Browse and Buy store.
She was a lifetime member of the Good Sam Club. She was an active member of Good Hope Lutheran Church at Zoarville. Carolyn also enjoyed traveling the country with her husband and family.
Carolyn married Frank Butler on April 27, 1957 and together they enjoyed 51 years of marriage before his passing on May 18, 2008. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Jon Charton of Bolivar; a son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Kelly Butler of Medina, Ohio; a granddaughter, Heather (Rev. Brian Rossow) Charton of Bolivar; a great-grandson, Elliot Charton; a brother and sister-in-law, William and Bonnie Lebold of Cocoa, Florida; and 2 nephews and their families.
Family and friends may call on Monday, October 17, 2022 from 1:30-2:00PM in the Good Hope Lutheran Church at Zoarville a funeral service will begin at 2:00PM at the church, with Rev. Brian Rossow officiating. Burial will follow in Ft. Laurens Cemetery at Bolivar.
In lieu of flowers the family requestions contributions be made in Carolyn’s memory to Good Hope Lutheran Church, 3359 New Zoarville Road NE, Zoarville, OH 44656.
