Carolyn J. Renicker, 86, of New Philadelphia, passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2021 in Community Hospice House at New Philadelphia following a period of declining health.

A daughter of the late Carl and Mary (Stringer) Meyer, Carolyn was born April 1, 1935 on Tabor Hill at Mineral City.

Carolyn graduated from New Philadelphia High School in 1953. Then on July 3, 1954, she married David R. Renicker and the couple shared 63 years marriage prior to his passing on October 3, 2017.

Carolyn attended New Philadelphia First Church of the Nazarene where she was involved in various groups. She had a love for crocheting and was known to have a needle in her hands at all times. Carolyn also enjoyed baking and sharing with her family.

She is survived by her children, Carol (Tom) Pfalzgraf of Massillon, Richard (Laura) Renicker of Williston, North Dakota and Sharon (Jamie) Walters of New Philadelphia; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and a sister, Sherry Heter of New Philadelphia.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Pam Renicker; her twin sister, Marilyn Miller and her husband, Dick; a sister, Alice Arney; a brother, Robert Meyer and a brother-in-law, Wayne Heter.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 11, 2021 from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A funeral service celebrating Carolyn’s life will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Mark Maddux officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia. Following the service a luncheon will be held in New Philadelphia First Church of the Nazarene.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Carolyn’s memory to Community Hospice of Tuscarawas County, 716 Commercial Avenue SW, New Philadelphia, OH 44663.
