Carol M. Bartlett

Carol M. Bartlett, 71, of Kentland, IN, formerly of Springfield, IL, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2022 at her home. She was born on February 15, 1951 in Springfield, IL to Bernard and Doris (Wells) Coleman and they preceded her in death.

She is survived by two daughters, Jane (Larry) Powell of Wellington, IL and Teresa “Teri” Coleman of Sumner, WA; one son, Brian Coleman of Kentland, IN; four grandchildren, Ashley Powell, Hope Powell, Summer Butchek and Dustin Powell, one great-grandchild, Audra Powell; two sisters, Kathy (Chuck) Kelly of Colorado, Elizabeth Bee of Springfield; brother, Richard (Sandy) Coleman of Sherman and several nieces and nephews.

Carol was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. She was a homemaker and liked to bowl and play BINGO. She had a great sense of humor, loved watching her grandchildren grow up, and going to Illinois State University games.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Geroge, Jerry and Robert Coleman.

Visitation: 4 – 7 pm, Monday, May 9, 2022 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Funeral Service: 10 am, Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with Pastor Greg Busboom officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
