Carol E. Bevier

Carol E. Bevier, 95, of Ontario, passed away early Sunday morning, May 16, 2021, at Elmcroft of Ontario. She was born June 27, 1925, in Lucasville, Ohio, to the late Wesley Hill and Lorain (Brant) Swiger.
She was an accomplished pianist and loved music. She shared her passion for music with the students at Tiro schools where she was a music education teacher. Carol also worked at the Shelby Depot and retired from the Social Security Administration. She was a member of Cornerstone Free Will Baptist Church and was involved with the Silver Saints program. Carol was a member of the Golden Agers and Retiree’s Club through the steel mill. She was an avid reader her entire life.
Carol is survived by nieces, Patty, Peggy, Pam, Penny, Paula and Carol Ann; and two brothers, Morris Swiger and Andre Swiger. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Eldon Bevier; and nephew, Robert E. Bevier.
The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 p.m. Monday, May 24, 2021, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. The funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Jack Williams and Pastor Earl Eiklor officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Oakland Cemetery, Tiro, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to Cornerstone Free Will Baptist Church.
