Brent Stuart Tildahl
Brent Stuart Tildahl, 82 of Fontana Passed to eternal life at home with family on Sept 30. He was born Dec 4, 1940, and raised in Minneapolis, MN. As a child he loved spending time at the family farm in Dalton, MN. He graduated from Minnehaha Academy in ‘58 and attended Augsburg College. He then served in
the MN National Guard.
He married the love of his life Karla Brummer, on Dec 22, 1961, in St Paul, MN, and together
they raised two sons, Brad and Michael. The family moved to Fontana in 1970, and Brent spent
many years working as a credit manager at Ajay Enterprises in Delevan. Later in life he worked
to help people as a credit counselor.
Brent was a kind, gentle, humble man that gave many years of service to the community. He
never sought the spotlight, preferring to work behind the scenes. All his life he lived out his faith
serving the Lord at his churches. At Faith Evangelical Luthern in Walworth, he taught Sunday
School, Confirmation, and was on the church council. He also served multiple terms as church
council President. Brent served as treasurer of his local food pantry, volunteered with Open
Arms Free Clinic, Smiles, the Walworth County Symphony board and the Association For The
Prevention of Family Violence board. In 2013, Brent and Karla were recognized by the Walworth
County Fair as Outstanding Senior Citizens. Brent was also a Paul Harris Fellow with the
Walworth/Fontana Rotary. He was an avid biker and Chairman of the American Cancer Society
Tour Du Lac ride in ‘87.
Brent is survived by his wife Karla, sons Brad (Margaret) and Michael, grandson Erik and
step-grandsons Ryan, Benett and Logan; his sister Mary (Dan) their children Todd and Christy,
and his brother-in-law Charles (Lois) their children Gregg, Kristine and David.
A Memorial Service will be held for Brent on Nov 4th at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in
Walworth, with visitation from 1-3pm and funeral at 3pm. A light lunch will be served after the
funeral.
In lieu of flowers or other expressions of sympathy, donations can be made to Faith Evangelical
Lutheran or Open Arms Free Clinic
