Brandon Tyrone Green

Brandon Tyrone Green was born November 18, 1982 in Cleveland, Ohio to Monica Green and Tyrone Aiken.  He was the oldest of their children.  Brandon attended Cleveland Public Schools and graduated from South High School in 2001.

Brandon enjoyed watching sports. His favorite football team was the Washington Football Team. His favorite basketball team was the Minnesota Timberwolves, because his favorite player “Kevin Garnett” played for them. He also enjoyed playing sports and met many friends while enjoying the love of the game. He loved cars, especially fast cars, and playing video games. Brandon’s tennis shoes, his favorite pair were the Nike Foams. Being with his family was always a good time for him. He was everybody’s “Good Guy,” and he never judged, only supported his family and friends. He loved joking around and laughing if you ever heard him laugh you would laugh too.

Brandon started his working career at Harborside Nursing Home in the Dietary Unit. From there he went to the U.S. Postal Service at the Lyndhurst/Mayfield station.  Being the friendly person he was, he made many friends along his route as well as his co-workers at the station.

Brandon first met Raquiba Shabazz at the Boys and Girls Club in 1995.  They went their separate ways and re-united in 2003 and in 2013 became husband and wife. From that union, they had two children, Brandon Tyrone Jr., affectionately known as B.J. and Brooklynn. They along with his wife were the center of his joy.

Brandon had a host of cousins who he was raised with like sisters and brothers. Even though he had his own siblings, Brian, Byron and Brandi.  They enjoyed each other at family functions and “just because” events.  Brandon had a sensitive, quiet but strong personality with an infectious smile, a smile we will always see in B.J and Brooklynn.  He was responsible, dependable, and caring.  If he said he was going to do something or if you asked him to do something, it was done.

Brandon is survived by his wife Raquiba, children Brandon Jr., and Brooklynn, mother Monica Green, father Tyrone Aiken, Brothers Brian Green, Byron Green, Keith Stewart, and Tyrone Sims, sisters Brandi Green, Nicole and Nia Aiken, sister-in- law Ciara Watkins, a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, friends and co-workers alike.
