Bradley Jay Gasser

Bradley Jay Gasser, 66, of New Philadelphia, passed away Saturday, May 8, 2021 in Community Hospice House at New Philadelphia following a recent illness.

A son of Mickey (Beitzel) Gasser and the late Richard P. Gasser, Brad was born May 15, 1954 at Dover, Ohio.

Brad graduated from New Philadelphia High School in 1972 and then he attended Kent State University. He was a Union Carpenter and was formerly employed for Raeder Construction for 18 years. He then worked alongside his son, Kody, doing various construction jobs locally.

He will be remembered as a skilled woodworker who had the ability to fix anything and also for his nice and sweet personality.

He is survived by his mother, Mickey of New Philadelphia; his son, Kody Gasser of New Philadelphia; two grandchildren, Addysen and Colston Gasser; his siblings, Diana (Jerry) Edwards of Tuscarawas, Matthew Gasser of Louisville, Ohio, Sandra (Ron) Sandy of New Philadelphia and Daniel Gasser of Uhrichsville; his companion, Thelma Murphy of New Philadelphia and many nieces and nephews.

Brad was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Laraine Gasser.

In keeping with Brad’s wishes, cremation will take place through the care of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A memorial visitation will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, May 13, 2021 from 6 to 8 p.m.

The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made in Brad’s memory to Starlight Enterprises, 400 E. High Avenue, New Philadelphia, OH 44663.
