Bradley “Brad” Cherryholmes, 47, died peacefully Saturday, Aug. 27, 2022 at UIHC surrounded by his family.
Visitation will be Thursday, Sept. 1, 2022, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, Iowa City. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 2, 2022, at the funeral home with the Rev. Christine Humrichouse officiating. A private family burial will be at a later date at Oak Hill Cemetery, Coralville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center at www.donate.givetoiowa.org.
Brad was born Oct. 9, 1974, in Iowa City, the son of Keith Lynn and Carol (Hoffner) Cherryholmes. He was a 1993 graduate of West High School, where he was quarterback on the football team. On Sept. 12, 2015, Brad married Cori McNeilus in North Liberty.
Brad was employed at UIHC in facilities maintenance.
He loved the outdoors and liked to camp, hunt and fish, and barbecue on his outdoor grill. Brad liked to listen to country music. Most important were his family and helping others in need.
Brad is survived by his wife, Cori; his mother, Carol; his daughter, Brevin, and son, Branden; stepchildren, Bailey (Kylie) Wetherell and their son, Noah, and Parker Wetherell; siblings, Randy Cherryholmes and Richan Cherryholmes; niece and nephews, Dylan, Aaliyah and Keaton; former spouse, Michelle Cherryholmes; and many friends.
Brad was preceded in death by his father, Keith Lynn, in 2010; his brother, Brevick, in 1993; and his grandparents.
