Brad Alan Jackson departed this world on Sunday, May 28, 2023, while under the care of Cedar Manor Nursing Home with his wife, Kelly, by his side. Brad was 55, and was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease). Brad’s family will hold a private graveside funeral service on Sunday, June 4, 2023, in the Stanwood Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest. Pallbearers are Charls Rife, Tim Wulf, Bubba Chapman, Scott Pearson, Curtis Jensen and Shane Martin. Family and friends are invited to gather Monday, June 5, 2023, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Matthews Building on the Cedar County Fairgrounds to celebrate Brad’s life. Brad, son of LeRoy Everett Jackson and Joyce Ann Clark Jackson, was born on Oct. 2, 1967, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1986 and furthered his studies at Kirkwood Community College and Iowa State University. In 1991 he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture Studies from Iowa State. On March 30, 2007, Brad was united in marriage to Kelly Lynn Nabb in Maquoketa, Iowa. Brad worked for AgVantage FS August from 2000 through April 2023 until his health prevented him from further service to his customers. Brad enjoyed raising and showing Hereford cattle and spending time with his family and friends.

Brad is survived by his wife, Kelly, and his son, Chase, both of Tipton; stepdaughter, Paige (Aiden) Shatava and grandson Alexandr of Clarinda; sister, Nicole (Matt) Ehler of Cedar Rapids; brothers, Brian (Barbara) Jackson of North English and Craig (Kerry) Jackson of Mechanicsville; nephews, Luke, Nathan, Jacob Jackson and Cole Hafner; in-laws, aunts, uncles and cousins; godmother, Jan Domer. Brad was preceded in death by his parents, LeRoy and Joyce Clark Jackson; grandparents, Buell and Helen Jackson and Robert and Evelyn Clark; aunt and uncle, Charles and Betty Johnson.
