It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Bonita Joletta Walker on February 26, 2024, in Middleburg Heights, Ohio. Bonita Joletta Walker was born on November 18, 1951, in Cleveland, Ohio. Bonita graduated from Collinwood High School and from Cuyahoga Community College with her Associate of Arts degree in computer science. She retired in 2016 from NASA Glenn Research Center as a computer specialist. Bonita worked at many wonderful places throughout her life, most recently Bob’s Discount Furniture, Generations Senior Living, Volunteers of America, and a host of retail stores. Her family lovingly teased her that she was never unemployed and could get a job faster than anyone they knew. Bonita enjoyed reading, Bingo, bowling, and shopping. She loved her Bowling League, and they won many trophies. Bonita was a social butterfly who never met a stranger. She could make friends with anyone anytime. Her favorite music was Motown and Philly Soul.
She is survived by her sister Beverly Walker, Belinda Walker, her brother Brent Walker (Denise), her brother Barry Walker, her sister Josephine Ridley (Edward), her beloved nieces and nephews, Sharon, Barry Jr., David Lee, Angela, Tiffany, Lanette, Brent Jr., McHenry, Amelia, Gabrielle, Sarah and Joel, her dear friends Valerie Roundtree and Harriett Gilbert, former spouse Kenny Jeffery, her stepdaughter Jennifer Hewston (Donaurrio), their son Denim, and her stepson Kenneth Jeffery. She was preceded in death by her mother Maggie Robinson, her father Willie Walker, her sister Beatrice, her brother Roosevelt Robinson, Jr. Funeral services will be held on Service at Christian Fellowship Center, funeral provided by Calhoun Funeral Home, Burial at Lakeview Cemetery.
