Bobbie Bertram

On Friday, June 10, 2022, Bobbie Bertram, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and true disciple for Christ, passed away at the age of 92.
Born on Feb. 7, 1930 in Dallas, Tx to Robert and Wilma Watts, she lived most of her life in Arlington, FW and Granbury. After graduating Paschal High School as Valedictorian in 1947, she married her high school sweetheart, Bob N. Weaver in 1950. Bobbie enjoyed a fulfilling career running the family dry-cleaning business, PTA, Girl Scout leader and teaching Bible School. While raising her three daughters and working at Randal Mill Church of Christ, she returned to school at age 50, receiving her accounting degree from UTA with a 4.0 GPA. and then later managed TransUnion Credit Union
In 1981, she married George Bertram and enjoyed an amazing marriage until his death in 1995. Bobbie and George lived in Granbury, Texas where she was a very active member of Granbury Church of Christ.
Bobbie lived a complete life of faith in Christ and was the most amazing woman. Her hobbies included cooking, sewing, crocheting, traveling and spending time with friends and family. Bobbie loved to play table games, especially Rummikub, which she would play with her daughter almost every night. Her primary focus was always service and discipleship. Her door was always open to anyone in need. When not at home, she could be found at church or volunteering in some fashion – but always serving others. Bobbie dedicated 24 years on mission adventures to Austria, Russia, Cambodia and Croatia.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents, husband George and step-son, Ted Bertram. She leaves behind three daughters; Jan Cartwright and husband Chris, Susan Shotton and LeeAnn Weaver, two granddaughters, Chelsea Rogers and husband Randy and Cameron Berend and husband Kyle, as well as four great grandchildren, and a sister Shirley Capps and husband Trent.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 am. on Saturday, July 2, 2022 at The Village Church-Highland Village Campus, 1700 Highland Village Road with a reception following.
Donations may be made in her memory to The Village Church/Missions Dept., 2101 Justin Rd., Flower Mound, TX 75028.
