Betty R. Sidener

Betty R. Sidener, 88, of Springfield died Saturday December 19, 2020 at Memorial Medical Center. She was born July 6, 1932 in McMinnville, TN to Jesse and Nora Case Carter and they preceded her in death.

Also preceding her in death are three sisters, Lois, Imogene, and Carol; and one brother Edward.

She is survived by two daughters, Raynette (Bob) Manley of Cantrall, IL, and Gail (Tom) Rexroad of Dawson, IL; five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Betty was a resident of Springfield for most of her life. She retired after 27 years from the State of Illinois for the Department of Financial & Professional Regulation. She also was a member of Lakeside Church of Christ. Betty loved her shopping sprees and dearly enjoyed spending time with her family and neighbors.

Graveside Service: Burial will take place at Mechanicsburg Cemetery around 11:45 am,
Wednesday, December 23, 2020 with Minister Bill Clary officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Lakeside Church of Christ.

CDC Protocol shall be followed.
