Bette A. Wyatt

Bette A. Wyatt, 86, of Springfield, died at 3:10 pm, Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Arcadia Care in Auburn, IL. She was born June 26, 1935, in Riverton, to Kenneth and Margaret (McClain) Ray. She married William Y. Wyatt on December 27, 1971, and he preceded her in death on December 27, 2000.

Survivors include two children, Vicki Cole of Riverton and Richard “Lenny” King, Jr. of Elkhart; six grandchildren, Lori Barnes of Clarksville, TN, Ryan Cole of Pawnee, Rachel King of Morris, Caryn King of Chatham, Michael King of Winchester, and Victor King of Providence, RI; four great grandchildren, Brayden, Gillian, Aubrey and Camryn; one sister, Carolyn Cavalone of Hendersonville, NC; two brothers, Charles Ray of Springfield and James Ray of Sunrise Beach, MO; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and three brothers, John, Roger, and Michael Ray.

Bette was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She worked at Franklin Life Insurance Company and was a homemaker.

Visitation: 10:30 am – 12:30 pm, Monday, January 31, 2022 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Funeral Service: 12:30 pm, Monday, January 31, 2022 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
