Barry Binion

Barry Binion, 77, of Mansfield, passed away at his home on Sunday, January 23, 2022.
Barry was born September 9, 1944 in Mansfield, Ohio. He was the son of Virgil and Vada (Miller) Binion. Barry worked at Westinghouse for 20 years, after retirement, he went to work at Broshco and retired in 2009. Always smiling, Barry was certainly the life of the party. He loved his family, and was always attending family get togethers. He was an avid football fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns. He had great luck with plants, having some what of a green thumb. He enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden and canned his harvest. Barry was very positive, never complaining and always sharing positive comments about everyone.
He is survived by his siblings, Teresa (Harry) Baker, Lamont (Donna) Binion, and Jimmy (Wendy) Binion; his sister-in-law, Bonnie Binion; his daughter, Livia Diemer; and his grandchildren, Greyson and King; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie “Margie” Binion; his brother, Dwight Binion; and an infant brother, Michael Larry Binion.
Family and friends may visit from 1:30-2:30 pm on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street. Pastor Robert Kurtz will officiate the funeral service immediately following at 2:30 pm. Barry will be laid to rest in Mansfield Cemetery. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to serve the Binion family.
