Barbara June Roehrich, 78, of Macomb, Ill., passed away Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2023. Per Barbara’s wishes, there will be no services. Her children will be celebrating her life together Aug. 9.

She was born Nov. 8, 1944, in Big Spring, Texas, the second of seven children. There in Big Spring she met and married the love of her life, a handsome man in an Air Force uniform, Peter Paul Roehrich on June 10, 1961. Her career was to be with Paul in every adventure they had together. Running and owning a business, Agency Truck and Trailer Sales for over 20 years, their three children and grandchildren, and her love of travel, which took them all over the United States many times. An avid reader her collection of books was unimaginable and the love she had for all her animals over the years. She leaves behind her dog Petie who will reside with her daughter Becca. Barbara has now been reunited with Paul, her best friend, her everything and everyone should smile knowing they are together.

She is survived by children, Edward Roehrich (Janette), Rebecca Pettit (Gordon) and Sharon Breitbach (Tom); brother, Elton Alexander (Jimmie Kay); sisters, Gloria Woodward, Hazel Heath, Kay Moncada and Deb Blocker; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Paul Roehrich; sister, Jan Howard; and grandson, Cameron Peter Davis.

Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers. Special thank you to the hospice workers who were so good and patient, taking care of her in the final days.
