Barbara Ellen Combs

Barbara Ellen Combs, 78, of Hendersonville, died Monday, May 10, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving husband of 57 years and her family.

A native of Madison County, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Bernice Roberts.  Barbara is also preceded in death by two brothers, Frank Lee Roberts, Jr., and Billy Roberts.

She was a member of Zirconia Missionary Baptist Church.  Barbara enjoyed and loved all her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Johnny Combs; four children, Randy Scott Combs (Beverly), Stephanie Marie Combs, Jeffery Paul Combs (Kelly), and Jennifer Martin (Allen); 12 grandchildren, Jonathan Combs (Evan), Brittany Bedgood, Tamara Combs (Jonathan), Megan Amber Bedgood, Dustin Combs, Skye King (Josh), Waylon Ellenburg (McKenna), Tyler Combs, Eden Southerland, Sarah Ellen Martin, Bubba James Southerland, and Katherine Martin; three great-grandchildren, Calem Bedgood, Zoey Combs, and John Waylon Ellenburg; 8 brothers and sisters, numerous nieces and nephews; and her extended grandchildren and church family.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Sunday, May 16, 2021 at Zirconia Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Travis Parker officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the service at the church.
