1934-2024
Stewartsville, Missouri……Barbara Don Antle, age 90, was born June 7, 1934, in DeKalb County, Missouri the daughter of Forest Ralph and Gletha Wilma (Norris) Tyer and passed away July 22, 2024, with her family at her side.
Barbara and Robert “Bob” Duane Antle were united in marriage on May 24, 1958, in Excelsior Springs, Missouri, at Reverend Miller’s home. To this union three children were born. Barbara was a graduate of Northwest Missouri State University with a master’s degree in Elementary Education and she was proud to be a Bearcat. She spent most of her life as an educator in the St. Joseph School District. She was a lifelong member of Culbertson Chapel United Methodist Church where she faithfully played the organ. Barbara was an avid reader and a member of MRTA and Alpha Delta Kappa Teachers Sorority. Her true love was her family. She loved attending all the events of the children and grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her loving husband, Bob, of 66 years; three children, Mark (Michele) Antle, Scott (Lisa) Antle, and Diana (Kevin) Grier; seven grandchildren, Megan (Brian) Free, Myles (Maggie) Antle, Drew (Mallory) Antle, Tyler (Georganna) Antle, Blake Antle, Shane Grier, and Haley Grier; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at Culbertson Chapel United Methodist Church of Stewartsville with burial following at Stewartsville Cemetery.
