Audrey L. King, 84, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 31, 2022. A visitation will be held on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2023, 2 to 3 p.m., at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Funeral service will follow at 3:00pm. Burial at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Audrey Lee Jenkins was born on Aug. 22, 1938, to Evelyn (Call) Baisley and Herbert Jenkins in Brooklyn, N.Y. Audrey was united in marriage to John LeRoi King on Sept. 9, 1956. She was employed at K-Mart for 25 years before retiring in 2002.
Audrey enjoyed bingo, collecting elephants, puzzles, playing scrabble, crosswords, crocheting, and gift giving. She loved big get-togethers and going out to eat. Audrey had a great sense of humor and was loved by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed by her children.
Audrey is survived by her children, Jo-Ann Stephenson, Norman King, Terri King, John King, James King, Susan Durgin, Mark (Dawn) King, Dan (Jennifer) King, and Amy (Jim) Burgess; 29 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Bernice Rose and Patricia Walsh; sister-in-law, Dorothy Ceynar; and son-in-law, Allen Stephenson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John; parents; daughter, Sandra Stephenson; son-in-law, David Stephenson; and brother, Isaac Baisley.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the family.
