I am saddened to hear of the passing of my old friend Art, and my heart goes out to his wife Shelly and their two grown children. I met Art in the 1980’s as a new member of the Company of Angels theatre. I got to know him during rehearsals for a 1-act play that was directed by my then husband, Bill Maynard. Artie was such a lovely human being. And so much fun. And of course, he was such a brilliant actor. We talked about doing the Chayefsky play “Middle of the Night” together, but it never quite happened. Ironically, the last time I saw Art was at Bill’s memorial five years ago. He seemed like his old self; just, like the rest of us, a little older. I had no idea he was battling Parkinson’s. Heartfelt condolences to his family. You are in my thought and prayers.
