Arnie G. Emhoff
- May 16, 2022
Arnie G. Emhoff, 60, of New Philadelphia, died unexpectedly on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at his residence.
Born in Dennison, he was the son of the late Ernest W. and Mina L. (Touvell) Emhoff and a graduate of the former Indian Valley North High School. Arnie was employed as a heavy equipment operator with the Kimble Companies at Dover and enjoyed hunting, fishing and going camping with his family and friends. A handy man to have around, Arnie could basically fix anything that he put his hands on. He loved tinkering with and fixing things even if they were not broken. He just tried to make them better.
Arnie is survived by his two daughters, Sara A. Emhoff-Marlatt and her husband, Mike Marlatt and Katie Jo Emhoff-Hicks; eight grandchildren, Jameson, Kaylyn, Gretchen, Natalyn and Emmalyn Marlatt; Landen and Miles Hicks and Kara Jo Emhoff; two sisters, Crystal Rogers and Amber (Chuck) Krebs and several nieces and nephews.
In keeping with his wishes, Arnie is to be cremated through the care of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 20, 2022 beginning at 6 PM in the funeral home’s chapel with Pastor Rodney Phillips officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4 PM until the time of the service.
The family requests that memorial contributions, in Arnie’s memory, be directed to a charity of the donor’s choice.
