Arlo Eugene Netolicky, 81, passed away at The Views of Marion, Iowa, on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.
A visitation will be held at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel Stateroom on Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2022, from 4 to 7 p.m. A celebration of life will be held at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories on Wednesday, Oct. 26, at 10 a.m. A livestream of the service will be available on the Cedar Memorial website. Arlo was born on Nov. 8, 1940, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He was the son of the late Elmer and Leona (Kadlec) Netolicky. On Sept. 19, 1959, Arlo married the love of his life, Joyce Elsbury in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Arlo was the family handyman and was able to fix anything. He worked as a 1st Line Manager at Penick & Ford, FMC, and General Mills, a career that he loved. He was a member of the Czech Heritage Foundation and a volunteer at the NCSML. He was a lifetime member of the CSA Fraternal Life Prokop Velky Lodge 137.
Those left to cherish Arlo’s memory are his wife, Joyce, of Marion, Iowa; his children, Una (Dave) Phelps, of Marion, Iowa, Zelda (Russ) De Hoedt, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Ida (Jerry) Cada, of Shueyville, Iowa, and Rex (Joey) Netolicky, of Hiawatha, Iowa; his grandchildren, Amanda (Mike), Elizabeth (Josh), Andrea (Ben), Marissa (Zach), Jordan (Brandi) and Andrew (Darian); and his great-grandchildren, Bryson, Blakely, Boston, Jenna and Jacie. Arlo was preceded in death by his parents; his grandson, Luke; and his siblings, Darrell, Warren, Roxene and Diane.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at The Views of Marion for all the love and support they showed Arlo while he was in their care.
