Amy L. Kelly, age 64 of Yorkville, IL passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2022 at her home in Yorkville, IL. She was born on August 6, 1957 in Hinsdale, IL the daughter of Dean and Idelle (Risley) Moss.
Amy was united in marriage to Timothy Kelly and they spent many happy years together.
Mrs. Kelly received her Master’s Plus Degree in Education from Aurora University in Aurora, Illinois. She was formerly employed, for many years, as a first grade school teacher at Boulder Hill Elementary School in Oswego, IL. Amy also taught third grade for 20 years at Churchill Elementary School in Oswego, IL. She enjoyed camping and fishing with her family and playing Bunco with her friends, the “The Bunco Babes”. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Yorkville, IL. Amy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.
Amy is survived by her husband, Timothy Kelly of Yorkville, IL; her children, Sarah (Adam) Schmid of Phoenix, AZ, Katie Kelly of Aurora, IL, and Ryan Kelly of Sheridan, IL; her grandchildren, Hannah Schmid, Jeffrey Kelly and Madison Schmid; her siblings, Deanna (Ken) Daly of Lisle, IL, Cheryl (Tom) Frey of Aurora, CO, Roberta (Marty) Milosh of Fort Worth, TX, Brad (Kathy) Moss of Evergreen, CO, and Rosita (Steve) Kandlik of Lisle, IL; also several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dean and Idelle Moss.
Amy loved flowers and all floral gifts will be greatly appreciated.
A Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at the Nelson Funeral Home, 1617 North Bridge Street, Yorkville, IL. Interment will be private.
Friends may visit from 4:00 PM until the Hour of Service on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at the funeral home in Yorkville, IL.
