Alexander William Glover, 21, of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday May 20, 2023, from a drowning accident on Lake Okoboji. Services: 2 p.m. Saturday June 3, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday June 2, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Survivors include his parents, Sondra and Benson Williams; his sister, Justice Glover; a niece, Ava Lyn; grandparents, Scott and Meri Glover; uncles, David and Dallas; aunts, Patience and Angie; his girlfriend, Khyra Jiron; his daughter, Caelani and soon to be child, Tokyo Alexander Glover; and his pets, Pluto, Princess and Nikio.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Annette Glover; great-grandparents, Lucio and Violet Sanchez; and many great-aunts and great-uncles.
Alexander was born Aug. 23, 2001, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He graduated from Washington High School and working his way as a foreman with HTH Construction at ADM. Alex was a very sports-inclined individual. He loved spending time with family and his niece. Alex loved making people laugh and being the entertainment. He was a very social person. He also enjoyed small road trips with his cat, Pluto.
