Acclaimed Italian pianist Maurizio Pollini dies at age 82

Grammy-winning Italian pianist Maurizio Pollini has died. He was 82. Pollini performed frequently at Milan’s La Scala. The opera house said in a statement that he died on Saturday March 23, 2024, without giving a cause of death.

ROME — Maurizio Pollini, a Grammy-winning Italian pianist who performed frequently at La Scala opera house in Milan, has died. He was 82.
