William “Bill” P. Ciotti, 91, of Springfield, passed away on Friday, July 16, 2021 at The Villas Senior Care Community. He was born August 2, 1929, in Springfield, the son of Pasquale and Lula DeMarco Ciotti. He married Margaret J. Albright in August 1954 and she preceded him in death January 21, 1983.
William is also preceded in death by his parents, sister, Dolores Ciotti and brother, John Ciotti.
Survivors include two daughters, Patricia (Bill) Freeman of Fairhope, AL and Sharon (Joe) Sturm of Spring, TX; three sons, Dale (Dorothy) Ciotti, William Ciotti, both of Springfield and Ricky Ciotti of Sherman; four grandchildren, Ryan and Jennifer Ciotti, Adam Grogan and Tiffany Ciotti; one great-grandchild, Elijah; three sisters, Josephine Albright, Judy Ciotti and Donna Nall, all of Springfield; one brother, Richard (Nora) Ciotti of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bill belonged to St. Cabrini Catholic Church. He was very much a homebody, enjoying yard work and watching sports. He worked for Interstate Bakeries and retired from maintenance at CWLP and State of IL. Bill was a US Army Veteran, serving during the Korean War.
Visitation: 9:30 – 11:00 am, Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.
Funeral Service: 11:00 am, Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield, with Reverend George Nellikunnel officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
