Robert Morgan Poindexter, Age 77 , Passed on September 27,2024

Robert (Bobby) Morgan Poindexter, 77, of Cleveland, Ohio, passed away on September 27, 2024, after a short illness.

Bobby was born on April 10, 1947, to Isaac and Mayola Poindexter (Brewer) in Cleveland Ohio. A few years after graduating from high school, Bobby was drafted and served the U. S. Army. He was deployed to Vietnam during the height of the Tet Offensive from 1968 to 1969 with the 572nd Engineering Company.

Bobby worked as an underground trouble electrician at the Illuminating Company for 27 years. He enjoyed traveling, horseback riding and spending time with friends.

In 1994, Bobby married Monica Renee Bailey and had two sons, Zachary Ryan (28) and Evan Michael (27). The couple remained close friends after their divorce in 2001.

When Bobby retired from the Illuminating Company, he spent his time collecting cars and investing in real estate.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Isaac, Jr., Marva, Essie (Toni) and John. He leaves to cherish his memory his sister, Catherine (Evelyn), his sons, Evan and Zachary and a host of family and friends.
