Alonzo Dante Crosby

Alonzo “Dante” Crosby departed this life on October 27, 2024. Alonzo was born March 2, 1995, in Cleveland, Ohio to Maurice Crosby and Rhonda Kay Tinker. He worshiped at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, where he accepted Christ as his lord and savior.
Alonzo graduated from Max Hayes High School, while he was there, he played on the basketball team and was continually active in track and field. Determined to continue his education he enrolled in Cuyahoga Community College. After receiving an offer, he just could not refuse Alonzo left college to start his career with the city of Cleveland Division of Public Utilities (CPP), he was determined to earn that title of journeyman lineman. In January 2021, Alonzo did what he set out to do, he became a journeyman lineman. He was so proud of that accomplishment. He posted on Facebook with the biggest smile on his face “lotta blood, sweat n tears put into this, finally made it to the top. They said imma journeyman lineman now, that has got a nice lil ring to it.” He was proud to be part of the international brotherhood of electrical workers.
Alonzo was a proud man with an infectious smile. He had a very big heart and loved hard. Alonzo was consumed with being the best that he could be, the best son, the best dad, the best friend, and the best at his job.
Alonzo had a giving heart, he spent time volunteering at the Greater Cleveland Food Bank, he loved family, and he spent a lot of quality time with his three kids. He really got immense pleasure hanging out with his nephews being the big uncle. Playing basketball and hanging out with his best friend and confidant, James Nelson. Alonzo had other hobbies as well, such as chess, collecting weapons and was very obsessed with gaming, especially anime.
His beautiful life will be forever cherished in the lives of his loved ones, Tri’ana Seymore and their three children: Skylar, Alonzo Jr., and Elijah, his mother Rhonda Kay Tinker, father Maurice Crosby (Darlene), sister Alisha Tinker, brothers Derrick and Billy Tinker. Deloris Crosby, who played an integral part in Lorenzo’s life. And host of uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
