Zigmunt Zalewski, Jr.

Zigmunt “Zig” Zalewski, 83, peacefully passed away on June 10, 2025 after a long battle with cancer. He was the son of the late Zigmunt and Josephine Zalewski, born January 15, 1942. He lived most of life in North Guilford. He joins his wife, Judith (Kleinkauf), in eternal rest. They were married 60 yrs.

Zig enjoyed being near the shoreline and loved salt water fishing, either at the Guilford Docks, Hammonasset, Rhode Island coastline and even Topsail Island, NC. Also enjoyed hunting, and riding his ‘57 Truimph in his younger days. Zig was employed as log truck driver for many years before retirement.

Zig is survived by his daughters, Tami (Brian) Kniffin of Wallingford, Lisa Zalewski of Guilford, and his grandchildren Kimberly and Raymond Kniffin. He was predeceased by his sister, Judi Tasto and his granddaughter Kristina Kniffin.
