Zachary Earl Holmes

October 29, 1997 – October 10, 2025

Passed away unexpectedly at his home in Kingston, on October 10, 2025, in his 28th year.

Lovingly remembered by his parents Jeffrey and Lisa Holmes of Kingston, brother Kaelan Holmes of Ottawa, uncle Jayson Hunt (Julie) of Brockville, ON, his cousins Colyn and Emerson Hunt, his grandma Velma Holmes, and his grandfather Lorne Hunt. Zach will also be missed by his two cats Maddy and Maisy.

Predeceased by his grandmother Gail Hunt, and his grandfather Donald Holmes.

Zach will be remembered by all of those who knew and loved him for his witty and great sense of humor. Zach was a dedicated Blue Jays fan, a skilled cook who loved to eat, and a talented musician playing guitar and piano. Recently, Zach found a love for mountain biking and ensured he spent as much time as possible outside in nature during the summer months to follow his new hobby.

A Celebration of Zach’s life will take place on Monday, October 13, 2025, at the James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Blvd., Kingston, Ontario from 1:00pm – 3:00pm. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Zach may do so to Lionhearts Charity, a foundation that was very special to Zach.
