Willie Williams Sr.

Willie A. Williams, Sr., age 65, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2025, following a battle with cancer.

A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many, Willie’s presence will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Girdia Williams; his sons, Tarbarous Phillips, and Willie Williams, Jr.; and his daughters, Brunette Williams and Tameka Williams. He is also survived by his brothers, Carl E. Williams (Rosa) of Gainesville, FL, Cedric Williams, Earl Williams, and Jerome Anderson of Hawthorne, FL; and his sister, Sherry Moore Williams of Jacksonville, FL. Special cousins Ethel Alford, Daisy Days and special friend John Smith.

Willie was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Williams, Sr. and Essie Mae Moore, and by his brothers, Arverett Moore, Clark Williams and Elijah Williams (Gwendolyn).

He leaves behind a lasting legacy of love and faith, carried on by his beloved grandchildren:

Par’iz Anthony, Varija Debose, Win’tah Durdley, De’Laija Hale, Desirae Lewis, Rayaje Lewis, Raymond Lewis, Javon Marshall, La’Lonee McDonald, Le’Gaci McDonald, Le’Onnia McDonald, Nika Phillips, Tarbarous Phillips, Jr. and Enaj Williams.

He is also remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends
