William “Vinnie” Venzen

MCDONALD – William E. “Vinnie” Venzen, age 79, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at home. He was born May 29, 1946 in Hubbard, the son of Stephen and Margaret (Stofa) Venzen.

After graduating from Hubbard High School, Vinnie served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. He worked many years for and retired from General Motors. A big NASCAR fan and a member of the American Legion in Girard, he was an avid fisherman and could be found in his boat on Mosquito or Pymatuning Lake. He used to have a Harley, and he and Sally rode with others to Myrtle Beach for the time of their lives.

Precious memories of Vinnie live on with his beloved wife of twenty-four years, Sally (Wright) Lopez Venzen, whom he married May 18, 2001; five children: Kim Yaksic (Michael) of Florida, Debbie Evans (Bill) of Toledo, Laura Venzen (Kieth Dillinger) of Girard, Whitney Lopez of Wheeling, West Virginia, and Tyler Lopez (Tia) of Boardman; six grandchildren: Kassandra Pike (Tyler), Kimberlyn Simeon, Katie Stang (Cara), Bryan Evans, Layla Dillinger and Colter Lopez; two great-granddaughters, Kaisley and Scarlett Pike; his sister, Mary Cassidy of Hubbard; and his four-legged BFF, Brandon.

Preceding him in death are his parents and his sister, Elaine Andrews.

Services will be held privately at a later date. To celebrate Vinnie’s good life, do a good deed for someone, and remember Vinnie and his loved ones in your thoughts and prayers.
