William “Will” Piechocki, beloved family man and cherished friend, passed away peacefully of natural causes on September 9, 2025, at his home in Staten Island. Born on August 23, 1961, in Brooklyn, Will’s infectious laughter and warm personality were a joy to all who knew him.
Will’s early years in Brooklyn were filled with loving family and the bustling energy of city life, which shaped his enduring love for sports and the community spirit that would define him. His career as a professional driver allowed him to traverse the roads he knew so well, sharing traffic updates and weather tidbits with anyone who would listen. His passion for his work was evident in his dedication and the friendships he formed along the way.
A family man at heart, Will’s life was enriched by the love and support of his parents, Margaret and Edward Piechocki, his sister, Helen, his late brother, John Piechoki, and brother in law Charles Basedow, niece Carissa, nephew Charles and niece Chelsea who, all held a special place in his heart and life. He loved his adoring partner Anne Stazzone with all of his heart and embraced his son Joseph Stazzone, daughter Adrienne Buzzetta, along with his son in law Michael and his grandson Indy. Will’s dogs, Jeter and Lincoln, were also treasured companions, always by his side and bringing him immeasurable joy.
Will’s friends and family will remember him as the life of the party, always ready with a joke or a story to lighten the mood. He enjoyed attending family gatherings, holidays and after work events. He was the quintessential family man, always putting his loved ones first, and his presence will be dearly missed. He was known for his willingness to lend a hand or an ear to anyone in need.
Will had a love of sports. He watched everything from his Islanders Hockey team to Pittsburgh Steelers football team. You could ask him what the score of the latest Yankees game was, and he knew it. Will never missed on the opportunity to tell you his opinion on the local teams.
As we bid farewell to Will, we remember a man who was the embodiment of kindness and love. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have felt the warmth of his friendship and the depth of his affection. William Piechocki’s memory will be cherished and his spirit will continue to inspire us all.
We take comfort in knowing that Will’s journey was full of laughter, love, and the simple pleasures that he valued so deeply. His passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his memory will be a beacon of light for all who knew him. Rest in peace, dear Will, your laughter and love will echo in our hearts forever.
