William Grube, 86, of Danbury, CT, formerly of Brewster, NY, passed away on September 22, 2025.
Born March 17, 1939, in Yonkers, NY. He was the son of the late Henry and Elsie Grube and a
graduate of Edison High School in Mt. Vernon, NY.
Bill married Roseann Pellicio, and together they had five children. Roseann’s early death left Bill
to raise their children alone.
Years later, Bill married Lillian Morganti, who had three children from her previous marriage. Bill
loved them like they were his own. Bill, a devoted husband, faithfully loved Lillian until death
separated them.
Bill was everybody’s “Papa.” He was incredibly generous, loving, kind, and helpful. There was
nothing you could ask of him that he wouldn’t do. If he could help, he would. His kindness
toward others was evident in everything he did. If you went for a visit, the first thing he’d ask
you is if you wanted a cup of coffee. His concern was making you feel welcome and keeping
your stomach full; he loved to cook and feed everybody; he was a wonderful host.
Papa truly lived his life to serve others; he was selfless and loved us so well.
He loved traveling with Lillian and spending time with their children and grandchildren. They also had many friends with whom they enjoyed spending time, going to dinner, or playing cards. Papa will be missed by us
forever!
Bill is survived by his children, William and Tammy Grube, Dominick and Kathy Grube, Pat and
Elisabeth Grube, Maryann and Lawrence Judson, Todd and Ginger Grube, Amy and Bruce
Major, Darci Cipriani, Charlie and Samanth Cipriani, and also his grandchildren and great-Grandchildren
