He was married to Delores Scattergood on June 1, 1952. They had two children, Bob and Linda. They had 3 grand-children, Alex, Sean and Liam. Bill had a wide circle of family and friends and was known and loved for the loyalty, support, and understanding he gave to others. He was also well known for his sense of humor, including one-liners and jokes. Wherever he went he initiated conversations with people and had a genuine interest in the people around him and wished them well in their lives.
There will be a celebration of Bill Doran’s life on Tuesday, July 15, 1pm, at the Broomfield United Methodist Church. He has asked that instead of flowers people make a donation to the “William H and Delores A Doran Endowment Scholarship at Nebraska Wesleyan”.
