William Cannister

Dr. William N. Cannister, 91, a devoted chiropractor and longtime member of the Sewickley, Pennsylvania community, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2025. Dr. Cannister was a graduate of Sewickley High School and National Chiropractic College in Chicago, Illinois.

“Dr. Bill” devoted his life to the well-being of others through his chiropractic practice, which served the Sewickley area for many decades. His life was also marked by a love of the outdoors as he enjoyed boating and hunting.

He is survived by sons Mark (Nancy) Cannister of Boston and Dale (Laurie) Cannister of Columbus, Ohio. He was a grandfather to Kasey (Aaron) Eisenhardt of Grand Rapids, Michigan and Ryan (Brogan) Cannister of Boston. He was also the great-grandfather of Brayden Eisenhardt.

A funeral service will be held at St. James Roman Catholic Church, Sewickley on May 30, 2025 at 10:30 AM.
