Warren Lee Dunlap, age 86, of Bedford, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Born February 22, 1939 in Bedford, he was the son of Julian Green and Dorothy Dale (Cutshaw) Dunlap.
Mr. Dunlap served in the Kentucky National Guard and retired in 2001 as a heavy equipment operator for Ohio Valley Company. He was a member of the Trimble County Saddle Club, Trimble County Klunker Club, and a lifetime member of the Operators Union, Local 181. He enjoyed trail horse riding, going to horse shows and watching his son and family compete, refurbishing old engines and tractors, spending time with his family – especially his great grandchildren – eating breakfast with his breakfast club buddies at Little Town and Country Restaurant, and was a diehard NASCAR fan.
His surviving family includes one daughter and son-in-law, Leigh Anna and Robert Davis of LaGrange, Kentucky; one son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Missy Dunlap of Bedford; two sisters: Barbara Melvin and Dottie Black and her husband, Danny, all of Bedford; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, the former Jane Dunlap on July 20, 2021; one son, Douglas Dunlap; one brother, Dow Dunlap; and one nephew, Ronnie Dunlap.
Mr. Jack Couch will conduct the funeral services.
