Walter Miller

Walter Bruce “Bud” Miller, age 86, a resident of Naperville, IL since 1986, formerly of Chicago, IL, Frankfort, IL and Davenport, IA, passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at Endeavor Health Edward Hospital in Naperville. He was born October 8, 1939, in Chicago, IL.

Beloved husband of Amelia “Molly” Miller (nee Peretti), whom he married August 24, 1962, loving father of Steve Miller of Naperville and the late Michelle A. (Terry Haas) Miller, adored grandfather of Michael and Joshua Miller, devoted son of the late Walter and Anna Mae (nee McManman) Miller, son-in-law of the late Bruno and Antoinette Peretti, dear brother of the late Patricia (the late David) Cherry, brother-in-law of Diane (Philip) Longmire, fond uncle, great-uncle and friend of many. Bud will be missed by his dogs, Lily Marlene and Amelia Ann.

Bud grew up in Chicago, moved to Davenport, IA and was a graduate of Davenport High School. He earned a degree in Business from Elmhurst College, Elmhurst, IL and was employed for many years as an electrical engineer at AT&T/Alcatel-Lucent.

Bud was an active member of St. Raphael Catholic Church in Naperville, participated in prison ministries and was member and Grand Knight in the Knights of Columbus. Council #1369. He enjoyed fishing, cars, and photography.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, 10:30 AM at St. Raphael Catholic Church, 1215 Modaff Rd, Naperville, IL 60540, (630) 355-4545.

Inurnment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, IL.
