Wally “Waldo” Huber
68, passed away June 28, 2025. Beloved husband of Margaret (Moriarity); loving father of Cheryl Jordan, Richard Huber, Jackie (Sam) Rivera, John (Jennifer) Adams, Amy (Ryan) Whitehouse, and Don Huber; proud papa of Tony (Joanna) Brosman, Kayla Jordan, Frankie Jordan Jr., Vivian Jordan, Aimee Jordan, Breanna (Kyle) Stefanich, Mikayla Huber, Lily Rivera, Natalie Rivera, Violet Rivera, JT Adams, Ava Adams, Bentley Whitehouse, and Jaclyn Whitehouse; dearest brother of Florence Katcher, Linda LaPlant, and Wendy Huber; “Mister Wally,” to his brother-in-law Leenie (Larry) O’Brien, Mike Moriarity, and the late James Moriarity Jr.; also survived by his “Bestie” Debbie Morales, and beloved furry companion “Max.”
Wally was preceded in death by his parents Walter Ralph Henry Huber and Florence Marie Huber (Wittke), and in-laws James Sr. and Mary Moriarity.
Wally was an avid fisherman, he enjoyed watching wrestling, and spending time surfing the internet. His family described him as a “you tube extraordinaire!” Most of all Wally cherished time spent with his family, he loved telling Dad Jokes and adored his grandchildren.
Visitation on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at McInerney Central Chapel, located at 4635 S Wallace Street, Chicago, IL. Funeral 9:00 a.m. Thursday, July 3, 2025 from McInerney Central Chapel to St. Gabriel Church, 600 West 45th Street. Mass of the Resurrection 10:00 a.m. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
