Virginia Germedia Burnett, 84, of Rainbow, TX, died of Co2 Narcosis at Glen Rose Medical Center on July 24, 2025.
She was born in Bicol, Philippines on Sep 1, 1940 to Rufino Ajas Germedia and Socorro Hara Binas.
Virginia married R.D. Burnett Oct 18, 1971, before moving to Thailand, and then to the United States where she became an American citizen.
After her retirement from Raytheon as a Mail Room Associate, Virginia was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, but with her daughter by her side she won her battle.
She was preceded in death by her brothers Rufino Jr. Germedia, Warlito Germedia, & Ramon Germedia, her sisters Elizabeth Taraya & Aurora Atanacio, her husband of 35 years R.D. Burnett, her step-daughter Jaquita and husband Conway Bunch, and her step-daughter LaGwenda and husband Bruce Smith.
Virginia is survived by her sisters Zoraida Valenzuela & Corazon Cheng, her daughter Rowena and husband Brian Liford, her step-daughter Winnetta and husband Charles Morrow, 8 grandchildren and their spouses, and 7 great grandchildren.
A visitation will take place on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. Following the visitation, there will be a funeral service starting at 2:00 p.m. at the Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury.
