UPDATE: Care Flight called for hit and run crash on Highway 50 E., one driver reportedly trapped in vehicle

UPDATE 3:57 p.m.: Highway 50 E. is being reopened for traffic, but motorists must still use caution while law enforcement and responders are on scene. Seek alternate routes if available.
UPDATE 3:48 p.m.: Care Flight is on the ground.
UPDATE 3:35 p.m.: Care Flight has been called and Highway 50 will be shut down for eastbound traffic at Fairview and 50, and for westbound traffic at Nye and 50 so they can land.

Just before 3:30 p.m. Thursday, a crash was reported near Highway 50 E., and multiple responders are currently enroute to the scene.
At least one individual was reported to be trapped inside of a vehicle.
Dispatch indicated that one vehicle caused the crash by cutting off a white SUV before fleeing the scene.
According to dispatch, the vehicle that allegedly caused the crash fled the scene eastbound on Highway 50 E., and is described as a silver Subaru SUV with the license plate 028C23. The vehicle could be heading towards Lyon County.

Motorists should use caution while in the area of the crash on Highway 50 E.
