Tyrone Breland

Tyrone Breland, age 83, of Elizabethton, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at the Johnson City Medical Center. Tyrone was born in Hattiesburg, MS to the late Durward and Esta Lee (Lott) Breland. In addition to his parents, Tyrone was also preceded in death by his first born son, Eric Durrone; two sisters, Kirby Lee McHenry and Linda Kay Dale; and a granddaughter, Briana Renee Anderson.

Tyrone was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed collecting antiques and loved being outside and working in his garden.

Those left to remember and cherish Tyrone’s memory include his beloved wife, Mary Driskell Breland; six children: Melissa (Brian) Nash, Monica (Charles) Wilkinson, Mona (Troy) Breland, Mart (Tonya) Breland, Steve (Tina) Henne and Bryan (Cori) Henne; twelve grandchildren: Mick and Luke Kelly, Andrew Wilkinson and Casey Evans, Brandon Anderson and Megan Douglas, Ty Breland and Kayla Deloach, Stephanie Sowell and Savannah Henne and Jeffrey Henne and David Henne; fifteen great grandchildren; and two brothers-in-law, Bert Dale and Donald McHenry.

Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations in memory of Tyrone to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
