Troy Kruger

It is with very heavy hearts that we are sharing the passing of our son, Troy Walker Kruger on April 28th, 2024.

Troy lived in Redlands, California until the age of 6 when he and his family moved to Colorado.

After graduating from Lewis Palmer High School in Monument, Colorado in 2008 he moved to Denver and experienced being on his own and life in the big city. He later moved to Ft. Collins and attended community college.

After a few years of fun in Ft. Collins Troy made the decision to join the Navy. He trained as an aviation ordinance technician on F-18s and in 2012 was stationed in Lemoore CA as a member of the Argonauts of VFA 147. He deployed several times on aircraft carriers supporting our country’s efforts overseas.

Leaving the Navy in 2017 Troy enrolled in Colorado Tech University and joined the Colorado National Guard and the fine airman of the 140th Force Support Squadron at Buckley. He graduated From Colorado Tech in 2020 with a BS in Computer Science. In 2021 he was hired by Lockheed Martin as an IT System Engineer where he loved both his job and his co-workers.

In 2023, Troy was proud of purchasing a brand-new townhome and became a doting dad of a new puppy Nikko.

He recently accepted a new opportunity with Lockheed Martin in San Diego to work with U.S. Marine F-35 operations.

Troy never met a stranger and was easy to love.

He unexpectedly passed away Sunday April 28, 2024 in Miramar California.

Kendall, Dawn, and Maddison will always remember his beautiful big smile, his goofy demeaner, jokes, and his love of sports.

Troy is survived by his beloved dog Nikko, Kendall (father), Dawn (mother), Maddison Kruger(Commins) (sister), Kirsten Commins (sister-in-law), grandparents, Robert Potts and Emilie Potts. He is also survived by his many loving aunts and uncles, Tim and Barbara Kruger, Steve and Shawn Morse, Dawn Howard, and Brian Potts & CiCi Perrier. Last but not least, he is survived by wonderful cousins and their families: Carolyn, Timothy, and Aaron Kruger and Patrick Kramme. And last but not lease his girlfriend Ashley Downey.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John and Karen Kruger.
