1953 – 2025
Timothy Denis Sullivan, 71, of Cortlandt Manor, NY, passed away on July 3, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Tim was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He is survived by his beloved wife, Susan; his loving children, Caitlin Smith (Brian) and Kyle Sullivan (Rachel); and his cherished grandchildren, Ava , Lucas , Marley and Joanna. He is also survived by his sisters, Deirdre Smithies, Lori Marchione, and Erin Goldstein, along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased in death by his parents, Timothy and Kathryn Sullivan, and his brother-in-law, David Smithies.
A proud native of New York, Tim had a deep love for history and ancestry, often tracing family roots and sharing stories of the past. He was also an avid New York Yankees fan who rarely missed a game and had a passion for classic baseball lore.
He received his bachelor’s degree from Manhattan University and earned a master’s degree from Fordham University. His business career focused on the banking industry, working at several financial institutions during his lifetime. Most recently, he was President and CEO of Sunnyside Federal Saving and Loan until his retirement in 2023.
Tim’s warmth, curiosity, and sense of humor made him a joy to be around. He found his greatest happiness in the time he spent with family, especially his grandchildren, who brought him endless joy and pride.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the wake on Thursday, July 10th, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Clark & Giordano Funeral Home, 2104 Saw Mill River Road, Yorktown Heights, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 11th, at 10:00 AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 1377 E. Main Street, Shrub Oak, NY, followed by interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 10 W. Stevens Avenue, Hawthorne, NY.
