Thomas Deneen

Thomas E. Deneen, age 88 of Faribault, died on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at home surrounded by family.

Memorial services will be held at Boldt Funeral Home & Cremation Services on Monday, June 30, 2025 at 11 a.m. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Monday. Interment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.

Thomas Edward, the son of Dennis and Martha (Mahoney) Deneen, was born October 28, 1936 in Faribault. He graduated from Bethlehem Academy with the class of 1954. In 1957, he married Barbara Burch in Northfield, they later divorced. Tom was an electrical worker at Minnesota Maintenance Co. in Faribault for 41 years and retired from Malt O Meal, Northfield in 2007 after 10 years. In retirement, he worked part time for Harry Browns, Faribault. Tom served in the Army Reserve for eight years and in 1961 his unit was activated for the Berlin Crisis for 10 months. He was a member of the Last Man’s Club and a long time member of the Minnesota Street Rod Association and DragOn’s Car Club. He loved cars, especially his 1940 Ford Coupe, going to car shows and classic car roll ins.

He is survived by his children, Gail (Gene) Burke, Melinda (Shawn) Murphy and Daniel (Barb) Deneen; grandchildren, Amber (Jamie) Cramer, Dustin (Yvonne) Burke, Ashley (Jonas) Burke, Ariel (Brandon) Wroe, Shane (Hanna) Murphy, Ryan (Kayla) Murphy, Shannon (Tyler) Murphy, Erin (Alex) Deneen, Dylan (Krysten) Deneen, Jennifer (Dustin) Arne, Allison (Matt) Thompson and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Lisa Arne; Brother Joseph Deneen and sister, Patricia Shular.
